This 1-1/4 inch die-struck medal is engraved with a variation of the 'wreathed lamp' design that depicts a lamp atop two books accompanied by a scroll with 'Reading' printed onto it in front of them; the same wreathed pattern of leaves decorates the border that is present on the original design. The back face of the medal can be engraved or imprinted and it is only available in gold.
