The front face of this 1-1/4 inch die-struck medal is engraved with a variation of the 'wreathed lamp' design that depicts a lamp atop two books accompanied by a scroll reading 'Principal's Award' in front of them, as well as the same wreathed pattern of leaves decorating the border present on the original design. The back face of the medal can be engraved or imprinted and it is only available in gold.
