This 1-1/4 inch die-struck medal is bordered with a method of scalloping that is identical in appearance to diamond cut engraving. It comes in multiple colors and can be engraved or imprinted only on the back face, due to the front face being adorned with a variant of the 'Reading Award' design that illustrates a large open book with two people sitting and reading back-to-back in front of it. Above the book is a globe and lamp, but it does not have any text present in or around the design. This medal is available in gold, silver, or bronze.
